Benefits of New Seed
Convenience
• Highest quality and highest yielding product vs. bin-run
• Access to the most elite germplasm
Economics of New Seed vs. Bin
• Income lost by not selling as commodity grain (e.g. 1 bushel of bin-run seed multiplied by the price of a soybean bushel)
• Handling and transportation cost for bin-run (approx. $.35 - $.75/bushel)
Limited Warranty Benefits
• Dealer agronomic support before and after the sale
• Risk management benefit of Roundup Rewards®
New Innovations
• Royalties provide research and development of new traits and higher yielding germplasm
• Monsanto is 100% committed to agriculture
Soybean Unit
Soybean Unit = 160,000 seeds.
This establishes a set value equal to 3200 seed per pound in a 50 lb. bag, but in most cases pound. Soybeans will still be packaged in 50 lb. paper bags, but in most cases that 50 lb. bag will contain 8 to 9 tenths of a 160,000 seed unit.
Soybeans are available in 50 lb. paper bags, 2500 lb. bulk bags, or 2500 bulk boxes or true bulk. All options are available for pick up or delivery. An additional charge of $1.00 per unit will be added for soybeans ordered and delivered in bulk boxes.
Soybean Replant Policy
75% Discount of Retail Price Plus Technology Cost.
AgVenture HB will help customers apply for technology cost reimbursement. Qualifications and approval of application is at the discretion of the technology provider.
Soybean Treatment Recommendation
Soybeans planted in no-till conditions prior to the second week of May can benefit from the use of a premium broad-spectrum soybean treatment. Premium treatments that protect the seed from diseases like Pythium, Rhizoctonia, and Fusarium can increase the survivability in cool damp soils by 10% or more. Compared to the cost using higher seeding rates for early planting, our quality soybean treatment will actually reduce your plant establishment cost.
Soybean Piracy Statement
Seeds containing a Monsanto or Monsanto affiliate germplasm trait including conventional and Roundup Ready are protected under numerous United States parents. It is illegal to save Roundup Ready Soybeans and conventional soybeans containing protected germplasm for planting, or transfer to others for use as planting seed.
